Climate Solutions Summit

The Climate Solutions Summit was a great success! Over 130 students signed up for the case competition about accelerating residential decarbonization, which to our knowledge is a record. Unfortunately, not all of these eager climate beavers could be accommodated, but the 70 admitted students didn't disappoint. As confirmed by the 16 industry judges, some very cool, very innovative, and very scalable ideas were pitched.

We helped organize a case comp last spring. But this time around we took things to another level because, well, the Inflation Reduction Act just passed! So after the finals wrapped up, people walked over to the Summit that our team organized, which featured panel discussions about disruptive innovation, scaling adoption, and workforce development. And oh yeah, Gov. Inslee gave the keynote address!

The power of partnerships was a prominent theme across all aspects of this event. And so we want to give a shout out to our students partners at Net Impact and ReThink, they shouldered a huge amount of work. Last but not least, much thanks to the sponsors of this unique summit - Henry M. Jackson Foundation, Foster School of BusinessKing County, and Boeing
